What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?
Chinese Herbal Medicine is an ancient healing practice dating back over 2000 years. It has been and continues to be refined through centuries of clinical experience. It utilises a vast range of natural plant ingredients to help restore health and balance within the body. It emphasises treating the person as a whole, addressing not only symptoms but also any deeper underlying imbalances that may be driving illness.
As a practitioner of Chinese Herbal Medicine, after consulting with a patient, I utilise combinations of herbs, meticulously selected for their unique properties, to prescribe a personalised formulation tailored to the individual patient’s needs. In this way, Chinese Herbal Medicine offers a versatile and clinically effective approach to holistic health care. My approach blends traditional classical principles with a current, evidence-based outlook. I incorporate the ancient diagnostic methods of Chinese Medicine alongside insights from modern scientific research to develop treatments that are tailored to each individual and grounded in modern practicality. Treatment focuses on restoring harmony within the body, promoting overall well-being, and supporting natural healing processes.
As a registered practitioner I use only herbs from an RCHM approved supplier. These suppliers must fulfil rigorous criteria following a thorough investigation by independent auditors and includes demonstrating that herbal medicines are manufactured according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
These are important safeguards for ensuring safety standards are met and to ensure that you receive the best quality products available.
